Steps to Gain Stardom In The Music Industry
Congratulations on taking your first major step toward becoming a successful artist in the music industry. Whether you’re a singer, a musician, a producer, or a songwriter, you most likely have dreamed of taking your talent, your passion – perhaps your gift – to the next level. But, like most floundering musicians, you likely have no clue how to go about making your dream a reality. Lucky for you, you have found this blog! This blog site will provide you with invaluable guidance that will assist you in the process of becoming a successful artist.
Everything begins with an idea
The first step toward becoming successful in the music industry is to understand and acknowledge that everything in life begins with a mere thought, or idea. Take a look around you. The cars, the buildings, the magnificent technological advancements, even the shoes on your feet all began with an idea – and a dream.
Think about the airplane. When Leonardo da Vinci was busily drawing up sketches of “flying machines,” people were amazed and in disbelief. They were so shocked by his sketches, in fact, that many considered him to be crazy (although, there is other evidence to indicate he may not have been playing with a full deck, but that’s another story!). The thought of a man being able to fly like a bird was ludicrous. But, many other people throughout history took these same ideas and, eventually, found success. Now, not only does mankind fly – mankind flies all the way to the moon and is even capable of exploring other planets! From one simple idea – one most thought to be “crazy” – all of mankind has benefited.
Speaking of planets, all of Spain thought Christopher Columbus had been adrift at sea too long when he came up with the idea that the Earth was round. Everyone knew the world was flat! Furthermore, Copernicus was chastised for believing the planets revolved around the sun. It was well known at the time that the Earth was the center of the universe! These two fellas had to be insane to believe otherwise. But, these guys each had an idea. A single, brilliant idea that no one believed or was even capable of understanding. And, as they held true to these beliefs, these great minds were able to better form their ideas and gather evidence to prove them. Slowly but surely, the world changed – and so did the way each of us looks upon it now.
Even the food we eat started from an idea. Someone had to be the first to decide to try eating mushrooms. Someone had to be the first to mix flour, milk, and eggs together and cook it to make a bread. Someone had to be the first to peel the skin from an orange to find the tasty fruit inside. All of these started from ideas. Ideas based out of hunger and a need for survival. Ideas inspired by the desire to add variety and flavor to the palette. But, when boiled down to their purest essence, all of these were, plain and simply, ideas.
Other ideas around us have slowly evolved over time and have become better as man has formed new ideas to build upon the originals. Mankind originally hunkered down inside caves and other natural formations for shelter. Later, man used animal hides and sticks to build tents. Eventually, man learned to make bricks in order to provide a more solid structure. Now, man has learned to build massive towers from steel and other materials the caveman never would have dreamt of. Or, did he? Perhaps the caveman had the ideas, but didn’t know how to achieve them. Through this site, you will be handed the tools needed to build your ideas – your dream – and make it a reality.
Believe in your ideas
Everything begins as an idea. Over time, these ideas become reality. But, the reality built depends upon the original dream or idea. In other words, there wouldn’t be skyscrapers, computers, or roads as we know them if someone hadn’t first had the idea.
Your ideas are no less valuable than those of famous inventors or artists throughout history. In fact, your ideas can be just as revolutionary as those formed by scientists, such as Albert Einstein. Similarly, your musical style can be just as groundbreaking and earth-shattering as that created by Elvis, or the Beatles, or Nirvana. Your ideas matter.
Realizing the importance and validity of your ideas is the first step toward success. Believing in your ideas – and in yourself – is the foundation on which your career will be built. Just like a house, the stronger your foundation, the more strength it will provide the career you build upon it. A foundation with cracks is likely to crumble, and take your “house” – your career – down with it.
On the other hand, if you build a strong foundation, you can build as tall of a career upon it as you dare to dream. For assistance building a solid foundation please visit Schofield and Company LLC .
