Tips to performing live as an independent artists
One of the most productive things that you can do as an independent artist is to perform live as much as possible. Your stage show will have to be flawless, down to the last note. It would be wise to have merchandise such as your album and tee shirts for sale at the venue. Don’t forget to have the promotional items to hand out for free to promote you and your album. Keep in mind that if your songs and stage show suck, no one is really going to purchase your merchandise. So pay close attention to your performance details at rehearsal. If you need assistance developing or critiquing your stage show please leave a comment.

well, these are very short tips.
Artists should also have long pair of cables/wires, as they move here and there. so at least they should be aware of that.
also, if possible they should have back up of their instruments as well or at least strings for guitar. that helps a lot.

How can we better connect with the crowd? It seems the type of hip-hop we perform is much deeeper and not as amped up as prior sets so the crowd doesn’t really participate. Should we take a second or two between each song to address the crowd?
